Once that is done, we can fill it with PVC pipe to make it sturdy. I would recommend a drill, drill bit, and a drill bit kit. You can get these at any hardware store, like Home Depot, or even at your local lumber yard.
The second step is to mount it in the wall. We will drill two holes in the PVC pipe, one for the stand, and one for the back of the stand. Then we just simply lay a screw in the wall to fasten it in place.

The stand itself can be made from any type of wood. We used a drill to drill two holes in the front and back of the stand to hold the stand in place. We then use some wood glue to secure the stand to the wall. This will also cut down on the drilling time the DIYers have to do.
We are in the process of designing a stand for the DIYers to build one for themselves. It will be made from 3/4″ x 3/4″ pine and we are hoping that it will look great.
If you want to make your own tv stand, I suggest that you go ahead and buy a big piece of wood and drill holes in it. Once you have a hole in the wood, you can then glue the stand together. You could also do this in a drill press. You can either drill the hole and then the glue, or you can drill the hole and then the glue.
